Post and Auxiliary membership meetings:
Thursday, May 16, 6:30 pm at Vistoso Memorial Chapel, 2285 E. Rancho Vistoso Blvd., Oro Valley. A pre-meeting meal will be available from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm. This month we offer chicken wings, potato salad, and carrot sticks for a free will Donation.Meetings are on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm. May 4, 8 am, next Adopt-A-Road clean-up:
Volunteers are needed. Meet in the East parking lot of St. Marks R.C. Church, 2727 W. Tangerine Rd. in Oro Valley. Please provide name and phone number in advance to POC Tom Roblee, phone 509-910-9323 or email [email protected]. Equipped with pick-up tools and trash bags, provided by Post 132, help pick up trash along a stretch of Tangerine Rd. while enjoying the company of others. This is a low-stress, fun activity. Legion, Auxiliary, Riders, and SAL members are welcome.
May 16 – Run for the Wall:
Run for the Wall is an annual event where motorcycle riders from across the country ride to Washington, D.C. to bring attention to the POW/MIA issue. The “Run” is separated into three cross-country routes. Each group adds riders as it travels across the country. The riders on the southern route stop for gas and a brief ceremony in Marana at the Circle K at eastbound exit #236 on May 16. The exit ramp will be lined with people waving American flags in a show of support. See you there. ETA at Circle K is 7:50 am. Check website www.rftw.us/ (Run for the Wall) for more information. The Run ends Saturday, May 25, with an 11 am staging at the Lincoln Memorial and then on to a service at the Vietnam Wall Memorial.
May 18, Armed Forces Day:
Armed Forced Day pays tribute to the more than 2 million personnel serving in the United States Armed Forces; active duty, Reserves, and the National Guard. The United States Military is composed of six branches, including the Army, Air Force, Space Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. The holiday unites the country behind the men and women who currently serve in the United States military.

March 26, Auxiliary Unit delivers supplies:
Members of the Oro Valley Auxiliary Unit 132, Rosie Gonzales and Ros Walton, delivered supplies to the Tucson State Veterans Home to restock the lounge. The lounge is a popular destination and “hang out” for the Veterans Home residents.
April 6, Oro Valley’s 50th Anniversary Parade:
Many members of the Post 132 Legion family participated in the 50th Anniversary parade. Some rode on the trailer, graciously loaned for the occasion by Post 132 member David Harkins, while others walked alongside the trailer which displayed the Post 132 banner. Dan McGregor provided the truck.
