Past Activities and Information:
Aug 21. Our most successful annual golf tournament yet! A heartfelt thank you to the golfers, many who have played in 8 or more of our 12 tournaments, the supportive businesses and individuals within the local community and the generous support of many of our members. The annual tournament is our primary fundraiser funding our award-winning programs that benefit veterans and service members in need. We fielded 124 golfers and 74 individuals and businesses donated toward Tee box signs. The We Care sponsors this year were Bunger Steel, Fairway Heating and Cooling, Kustom Restoration Services, Pride Mechanical and the Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce. Lloyd Construction, Recon Engineering and Vistoso Funeral Home donated at the gold level and were special Contest Hole sponsors. Your Legion Post is making a difference and it has been recognized for doing just that by military and veterans support organizations. The Post’s color guard performed and the national anthem was sung beautifully by Breanna Barnhart, daughter of Post member Jim Barnhart. Post and Auxiliary Unit members filled many volunteer positions ensuring a successful tournament. Please see the attached list of donors and sponsors whose kind support has ensured another year of Post 132 providing care and assistance to less fortunate veterans and to Guard and Reserve members in need, our citizen soldiers.
