March 25, National Medal of Honor Day:

March 25 was established by Congress in 1999 as National Medal of Honor Day to “foster public appreciation and recognition of Medal of Honor Recipients.” March 25 was chosen because it was on March 25, 1863, that the first Medals of Honor were presented to six members of Andrews’ Raiders. National Vietnam War Veterans Day, March 29: 

Casa de la Luz Hospice is sponsoring a “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans” event in recognition of National Vietnam War Veterans Day, March 29. Members of Post 132, Riders, Auxiliary Unit, and SAL are invited to attend. The ceremony begins at 10:00 am with Post 132’s color guard. Each attending veteran will receive a certificate of appreciation for military service and a “We Honor Veterans pin.” Refreshments will be served.
