Post and Auxiliary meetings:

Thursday, September 19, 6:30 pm at Vistoso Memorial Chapel, 2285 E. Rancho Vistoso Blvd., Oro Valley. A complimentary social follows each monthly meeting. Meetings are on the third Thursday, 6:30 pm. Auxiliary members meet in a separate room, same time, same location.

September 19  pre-meeting meal:

A pre-meeting meal will be available from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm. This month we are offering a choice of Gumbo with rice or a Gluten free vegetarian cowboy pasta. A donation of $5:00 is appreciated. Riders Chapter 132 membership meeting:

September 19 Auxiliary Unit Officer Installation:

The installation of the Auxiliary’s officers for the 2024-2025 leadership year will be held during the Sept 19 Auxiliary Unit’s membership meeting.

Past Activities and Information:

Fifteen Post 132 members in a variety of uniforms lined up in meeting room for new officer installation.

June 13, Post Officers Installation:

During the June 13 Post 132 general membership meeting, a formal installation of the Post officers for the 2024-2025 leadership year was conducted. We have many new members on the leadership team this year. The officers are: Tom Roblee – commander, Michael Bartell – 1st vice commander, Garry Lawrence– 2 vice commander, Stewart Lind – adjutant, Gene Wickey – Judge Advocate, Jeri Harwood– Service Officer, Danny Lemon – Finance Officer, Dan McGregor – Historian, Ray Baldwin – Sergeant at Arms, Jim Martens – Chaplain, Bob Herd– Executive Committee Member, Bob Franke – Executive Committee Member, Steve Didio– Executive Committee Member, Rick Gonzales– Executive Committee Member and John Madaloni – Executive Committee Member. Thank you to all for your commitment to the Post and its members.

Post 132 member and two VA employees with food donated for VA Patriot Pantry.

August 13, food delivery to Tucson VA Patriot Pantry:

In response to an emergency plea to help restock the shelves of the Patriot Pantry, Post member Dan McGregor went shopping on behalf of the Post and delivered a truck full of specifically requested food items. The Pantry provides a source of food for in-patients at discharge and out-patients whose needs are identified by a VA social worker.

Six members of Post 132 Riders and two Esperanza en Escalante volunteers with donated personal care items and cleaning supplies.

August 26, supplies delivered to Esparanza en Escalante (EE):

Members of the Oro Valley Riders Chapter shopped for and delivered more than $500 of personal care items and cleaning supplies to Esparanza en Escalante in Tucson. Thank you to Riders Jane Baldwin, Bill Garris, Garry Lawrence, Ray Baldwin, Rick Bernard and Ken Bruntmyer. Esparanza en Escalante is a source of temporary housing, social services, programs and transportation to assist a Veteran’s transition to an independent life. Two EE volunteers were present to thank the Riders.
