Opening ceremony at 11:30AM (Posting of colors and singing of the national anthem).  Military and 1st Responder demos. Enter your pet in the pet patriotic costumes contest (1PM). No registration, just bring your pet. Children activities including face painting, and balloon artists. Home safety tips, flag etiquette and static displays. Speak with VA benefits and claims counselors. Signup for the free Honor Flight program to Washington DC and the high school sponsored Veterans Heritage Project to tell your military service story. See authentic military equipment and uniforms dating from WWI. Drop off your unserviceable American flags for proper disposal. Learn about the award winning programs of the four entities that comprise the American Legion Family: The American Legion, the Auxiliary, the Sons of the American Legion and the Legion Riders (motorcycle riding enthusiasts). Learn about the more open Legion membership eligibility requirements recently signed into Law.
